Hey guys; I've been playing lots of ark recently, and thought it would be fun to have an Ark Ltt thread. Feel free to post funny things, tips and tricks, or just ask for advice!

I tried the game but I don't like it. Maybe my opinion will change once the game is released.

yes, very. Right now it is lacking for content but has a large 500mb+ patch very often, two or three times a week, VERY active devs and fun gameplay.

yeah, but its in alpha and graphics are still being devved. Remember it's pushing quite far, with UE4 and dx12

it does get boring unless youre playing with friends and progression is far too linear, but changes are being made. They are still driving like 20-30 new dinos

I have to agree, its best played with friends.  I started playing Arc like day 1 but after they did the server wipes my self and all of my friends stopped playing. We were almost done with our full metal base that took for ever to build and it was taken away.  It was fine and I know why they did it but I now only play it maybe once a week and Troll the hell out of people witch mind you I hated being raided and never did it my self but the wipe left me salty and thats the only thing im motivated in doing at the moment do to the fear of more server wipes.  Once the game is fully completed I will start playing it again and invest my time on a base but until then Its still fun logging in naked and running into peoples bases when they leave the gates/ doors open the hear them say "guys stop leaving the doors open people keep sneaking in".

I must admit server wipes BURN. But luckily we have awesome admins that spawn all out dinos and important stuff like turrets back in. Choose your server based on how nice the admins are

Imagine you work up a group of 8 friends on an ark server. You become an advanced society with separate guarded enclosures, personal mounts, food and defense solutions. Spend weeks working together, this is becoming fun, you rule the lands and fear nothing.

Then one day, while everyone is out gathering materials, your neighbor flies in on a GIANT FECKING BIRD THING AND KILLS EVERYTHING YOU OWN AND RIPS YOUR BASE APART.

Your friends turn against each other, arguments ensue and one person destroys what is left of your society.

Now you are left helpless, the situation is tense with one friend who is now estranged from your group as he leaves to live in Norway.

This was my experience with ARK. Looks good but needs some balancing.

There was no one at the base, we were taming a spino at the time and we just saw the kill feed rolling for our tribe

Does anyone know of a good server, feeling a little lonely in the gaming community.
