msvcp110.dll ERROR

my buddy just update to windows 10 and is getting this error as soon as the PC turns on.    "The program can't start because MSVCP110.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."

 

it also wont allow him to check windows updates to finialize the update and his pc is still showing not activated.

 

any help is great.

google the .dll file, you wil eventually find a program that automatically installs the wished .dll.

it's some kind of Visual C++ library that you are lacking, try to install this Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4

yeah i figured that and i got him to download the  Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4 but it didnt do anything and then when he reboots he still gets same error

Getr the .dll from the net and paste into C:/ windows/system32

tell your friend to do a clean install of 10 long as windows 10 is currently activated

pc's system files is obviously messed up

it wouldnt show active thats why we were trying to get it sorted so he could do a clean install, but he got it sorted,  he just went into safe mode,  then back to normal and everything works
