Cheapest motherboard with this build?

So I'm getting a new build in a few days and I'd like some opinions on which motherboard I could get. I'm not planning on doing overclock, SLI or anything like that so I'd like a motherboard which woudn't cost much (anything below 100$ would be fine). I'm thinking of getting a MSI GTX980 Ti 6GB, 16GB DDR3 RAM and the i7 4790K. I know there's still the HDD, PSU and so on but looking at these components what could be a good motherboard at a considerable price?

4790K with a cheap motherboard.

Auch

You should aim for a decent Z97 MB so you have the option to overclock your i7. Also, consider dropping the i7 for i5.

If your not overclocking, use a 4790 and a AsRock anniversary H97. Overclocking = 4790K + AsRock anniversary Z97

Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Turbo 3.5GHz | 8GB Kingston DDR3-1333 | MSI Radeon R7 370 OC to 1020mhz | EVGA Supernova NEX B1 750W | GIGABYTE GA-B85-D3H | Inwin Velocity OEM Case | 120mm broken fan

z97 krait edition was £88 so that's like $140 US no idea what would be less than $100 as £88 was one of the cheapest z97 I could find...

I was going for the 4790k since it's 4.0ghz and the 4790 is 3.6ghz...

Why 4790K if you're not overclocking?

because it stated that the K version has 4.0ghz as base frequency while the 4790 only has 3.6ghz... honestly don't know if it's a worth diffrence since it's around 40-50€ of diference.

the h97 seems like a nice option considering the price and everything. Thanks, I'll take a look at it

Fair enough. I can't speak to whether it's worth it though.

If your not overclocking and still want to take advantage of hyperthreading go for a Xeon 1241v3 on the H97 board, it's roughly the same price as an i5-4690k and the Xeon will run a bit cooler as it uses less voltage and is very reliable as it's designed for server use.

The downside is there is no igpu but since your getting a GPU it's not a big deal.

The H97 you cant OC, also K means you spend extra money for OC

Sadly can't get a xeon since for some reason I can't find them around here :|

My main issue is the fact that the non K version has 400mhz less base frequency than the K version... not sure if it's worth the money though

Have you looked at ordering it online, what country are you looking to purchase your parts in?

Portugal. Only issue is ordering from America will cost me too many taxes while the prices in the UK for some reason are much higher than in portugal that's why I'd like to maintain myself to national stores. Only think dissapointing is I can't find xeon CPU's on any stores
