Hey guys i need recommendations of a laptop!!

I want:

  • Touchscreen
  • A fair bit of power to at least play CS:GO on medium at 1080P and similar games (Black ops 2 etc) and possibly GTA 5
  • Not too thick
  • Under $1600 AUD (so around $1200 ish USD prefer to buy in AUS to avoid import taxes)
  • Something small (screen size, under say 14 inches? 15inch is max size i want)
  • Don't care whether or not it has a disk drive
  • Preferred color scheme would be black and or white/brushed metal but not a big factor
  • Feel free to ask me a question if there is something else you would like to know :)

Go go go! Recommend me a laptop!!

I had my eye on the Asus N550j but it only has a GT 830m or something for around $1300 AUD, but seems a bit big and thick.

Where would you prefer to shop? Take a look at the MSI GE62 Apache, I don't know whether it would fit your budget in your currency though. There's the model with the 5700HQ and 960M.

Looks good, but it doesn't have touch screen and seems a bit thick and heavy I will consider it though

But on the topic of MSI at PCCG there is an MSI with a GTX 970m for $2000. But at that price i'd like to look at the HP Omen as it has touchscreen AND SSD

The HP Omen only has a 960M, which is far less powerful than the 970M. And what makes the Omen expensive is the SSD storage.

May I just ask, why would you need touchscreen?

IDK i thought it'd be handy but then  again it's only used on a tablet or PC like @techguru said. I guess ill just stick to a good powerful PC then that is sort of thin. Do you know a PC that is thin-ish, i want portability, so when i go to my friends house and on holidays it's not too hard to cart around.
