Hi guys.

 

simple question..........

 

i5 6600k with gtx 980 or

i7 6700k with gtx 970

 

will be using for playing latest games at 1080p 60fps (high or ultra) and a little bit of recording via shadowplay to either post to youtube or brag to a m8.

 

opinions?

nice.... thanks guys. what kind of FPS difference we talking here in terms of CPU performance? IE i5 6600k gtx 970 vs i7 6700k Gtx 970?

 

the 980 is much better than the 970. you will notice more of a performance difference from the gpu. just overclock your 6600k

ok. i know this probably aint an issue but i am looking forward to playing the latest games at 60fps.

is it worth upgrading to the new GPU's from NVIDIA when they come out next year or maybe just SLI?

Save up money for a 980TI. A single card is good for 1080p 60fps even at ultra in most games. It will even do 1440p at 60 on ultra in some games.
