Generally it's Blue/Brown (basically any "clicky" switches) for typing. and Reds and other linear switches for gaming. But both are entirely interchangeable.

 

I'd say browns though, they are basically quieter blues. and if you learn to not bottom out the key they can make typing easier (you can do it on reds but there's no noticable trigger point). and you don't lose much in gaming compared to reds

It's in my sig at the mouse guide link.  Also, don't base your decision off of what others are telling you they like.  Mechanical keyboards cost a lot of money, don't waste it on something that doesn't suit you well.
