Upgrade cpu or Increase my resolution?

Increasing framerate (60hz-144hz) will make the bottleneck worse, increasing resolution though will help

Well at 1080p 144hz I think my 2700k which is at 4.6ghz is bottlenecking my 980 ti. Would going to a 1440p 144hz monitor reduce some of the bottleneck?

Increasinf resolution would reduce bottleneck

the 980ti is meant for 1440p gaming...it will produce much more spectacular results...i would do that in a heart beat!

Increasing the resolution will help reduce the bottleneck. I'd increase the resolution first, 1080p is a bit low res for a 980ti
