Worksation pc

I have been building a pc for my dad and i think i am pretty much done it will be used for worksation use video editing and photo editing as well as general use. I have just used normal products no quadros xeons e.c.t so it may look a bit like a gaming pc but he will be doing no gaming whatsoever. could you please tell me what you think and if you have any improvements please say.   http://pcpartpicker.com/p/6LZPqs

What's wrong with Xeons? You could probably get better performance at the same price with a cheaper 1150 board and a Xeon v3, they are essential i7's without the iGPU and a locked multiplier, but I assume your Dad isn't going to be doing any overclocking anyways.

what xeon would you reccomend

I would add more ram(16gb) and downgrade the gpu to a 750(ti). Most programs don't use the gpu very much.

The 1231v3 is an excellent choice. Its as powerful as the 4770k clock per clock. However, its expensive, around the same price as a 4690K, so 240ish range.

Yeah, Atmos is right, I also have that same CPU so I can attest to how good it is.
