Help extending partition

Im trying to extent my partition but the problem is the unallocated space is actually on the left hand side of the partition and my computer is not letting me boot to an ubuntu live disk.

 

please help.

Do you have another disk larger than the partition before expansion? Because I can make your life so much easier and safer.

I'm sure others will suggest tools to do that, but if you do have another disk, move the partition to that disk, wipe disk one, and return it. Headache free.
