Best laptop for £500

Preferably from Amazon if possible, my friend is looking for a good laptop for Uni so i'm thinking he could just squeeze out an i5 and 8GB of RAM and a 500GB or 1TB HDD but I want to squeeze out the best possible laptop..

 

Any ideas?

 

EDIT: After a quick look we may be able to squeeze in an i7 but I would prefer to stay under if not in budget.

you can get the 2.4Ghz i7 for like the same price... But it looks like it only has 4GB of ram ?
