Windows 10 question

So my question is very simple some weeks ago I bought windows 8.1 retail and I installed it , then windows 10 launched so I upgraded my system to windows 10 and activate it. But now I worry that I wont have it forever beceuase i'm thinking to change my hdd in like 1 year(when windows 10 free upgrade expire) will I still be able to use windows 10? what if my hdd fail in 1year+(when windows 10 free upgrade expires) will I lose windows 10? or can I just simply use windows 10 iso on a usb and then use my windows 8.1 key to activate it after the one year(when windows 10 free upgrade expires)?​????? any help plz

You can change hdd, maybe motherboard would cause you call up Microsoft and ask for a key.

You have one year to upgrade. Its good forever.

download it from Microsoft from a usb, install from that, your Microsoft account should have your 10 key saved to it.

you got a 10 key, u didn't have to use it, you will still have 10,its saved to your Microsoft account.

more or less, when you upgraded it gave you a general win 10and tiedit to your Microsoft account so when you reinstall win 10, you will sign into your account and the key willbe activated again.

i think after a year ull have to do it from usb and not upgrade from 8.1,not 100% sure though.

Well that's cool thanks anyway I will make some more research in the future I will change my hdd is some months to be sure and use it forever
