t420 ssd upgrade issues.

Pandora

so i was trying to upgrade my t420's hard drive to an ssd today. i used acronis to clone it and left for work. when i got home it was done. i promptly pulled out the old hard drive and put in the ssd. nothing the computer wouldnt even detect a hard drive in the drive slot at all. then i tried putting the old hard drive back in and it booted up fine into windows. i verified that everything had been transferred fine.

the odd thing is when i removed the hard drive from the drive slot and booted from the ssd via Esata it worked without a hitch.

i looked around on some fourms and i didnt see anything of substance for this issue. any ideas?
