$25-$30 Air filter solution for dusty server room.

Just watching the Day 6 move in vid on vessel and have a cheap solution for that dusty server room.

 

20 inch box fan -$19.99

20 inch by 20 inch by 1 inch air filter (for like a furnace or air return) -$4.99-$10.00

 

Turn on fan, place filter on the back, suction holds filter in place, air circulates in the room continuously and gets filtered. When filter gets dirty just get a new one.

 

 

It's what I use when tumbling brass casings to catch lead dust as well as keep dust levels to a minimum in my maker space/garage.

 

Cheap and effective.

I made a similar thing with PC case fans, cardboard box, power supply, fan controller, and some filter material.

Stockings work well and there's nothing cheaper ..and you can stretch them to almost any size/shape.  They also double as a fan belt, should ur car ever break one.

As great as that is you would ruin the fire protection required to the rest of the building and room itself, they also have AC piped into the space.

Thanks! Sorry this was in the wrong forum..

 

And yeah it was more of a temporary thing until they get all that dust around the warehouse cleaned up. Once they do though that central AC should keep it dust free.

 

Now if someone were to incorporate into a pc case....

Their biggest problem isn't really dust by itself. The big problem is that the whole building is still under construction. If you have ever been in building that is being renovated or repaired, you would know that working with wood products etc. will create dust that is slightly coarser than what normal house dust is. And because of that plus no real ventilation in action yet, the dust will stay there.

 

The floor of server room was filthy AFTER Taran cleaned it. So until they get everything ready, good vacuuming daily is best option to keep it dust free. (PS. having all doors and windows open doesn't help to dust issue either.)
