Hey everybody. Hope everything is doing well. I am getting two monitors for my next build (Asus PA248Q and Asus VG248QE). I was wondering what cable should I use to get maximum possible resolution and refresh rate. One monitor is 1200p 60hz (Asus PA248Q) and the other is a 1080p 144hz (Asus VG248QE). The graphics card I'm getting is the MSI GTX 980 Ti. One is going to be used for gaming; the other is going to be used for movies/tv. Both will be used for general use stuff (web surfing, homework, work, ect).

Thank you for taking the time to read this.  I appreciate it!

PA248Q you can use whatever you want. VG248QE will need DisplayPort or dual-link DVI.

The monitors should come with their respective cable, but hdmi should do fine for the 60hz panel, and a dual link dvi would be good for the 144hz monitor.

Asus VG248QE doesn't support that, and only some GPUs support it. DVI dual link or displayport are ones to go with, and displayport will also carry audio.

Yeah, okay. I completly forgot the monitor limitations here :P

But in theory HDMI 2.0 can handle 1080p and 144Hz, right?
