Audio Problems

Go to solution Solved by Valkyrie Lenneth,

disable hd audio drivers from ur gpu ( could be gpu audio driver related, that it swaps over to those.. hence the black screen first )

Hi!

My month old pc started to have this annoying issue where I would all of a sudden lose all sound. This mainly happens in CS GO and when watching Youtube. In CS GO my screen just randomly goes black for a second and after that there are no sound anymore and when I'm watching Youtube I can probably watch a video for 20 seconds and then I hear some audio crashing voices and the video refreshes and then continues, 10 seconds after this first crash I lose all sound from that video.. I've been able to fix this with reinstalling google chrome but it only helps for a day or two. What could be causing this problem is it my mobo or maybe gpu or something else. I kinda know that the problem is related to my headphones because I can watch Youtube without any crashing if I don't use my headphones.

hmm...

a "weird" thin that i'd do would be to take out the gpu and install the integrated gpu drivers then look at some youtube videos to see if you still have those video and sount problems

also, what headphones are  you using?

Yeah I'm going to try that, I have steelseries h wireless headset but I'm getting this same problem with my old turtle beach headset too.

if that doesn's fix the problems at least you know that your gpu has nothing to do with it

a next step would be to buy a cheap usb sound card or borrow one from a friend to see if the problem is with the integrated sound card

What exactly is happening though?

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

Thank you!! At first I only disabled those gpu related audio drivers and I still got the same problem but now that I disabled everything else except my headphone speakers I've been able to watch Youtube without any problems. Hopefully CS GO works as well.

no problem ( damn im helping alot of ppl today xD )

keep in mind that having more then 1 audiodevice on at a time can cause conflicts ( especially with the gpu audio drivers )

I actually had similar problems with my laptop and apple headphones, so this could also explain those lol  Thank you once more!
