iOS or Android that is the question

Koikeeper67

My contract is up so I am looking at phones again I have always had a iOS device. I am thinking about making the switch to the new Samsung Galaxy S6. It is getting great reviews and most are saying it is better then the iPhone, who has made the switch and are you happy with the android device or are you wishing you stuck with the iOS platform ?

I had an iPhone 4s and switched to a Moto E. Not dissatisfied. Go with the Android, if anything, you'll have a justification for which side you prefer.

I have an LG G4 it's really good. Would recommend if you don't mind plastic. Then again, it still feels amazing.

In my opinion? Android.

iOS works, but it's not really all that fun and I can't change things up. In a 2 year contract, you get bored easily of certain aspects of your phone. Even without rooting, you can still change your launcher and some other aspects of the device. With rooting and installing a custom recovery, you're opening up a new world of discovery in a sense.

And before someone mentions jailbreaking on iOS, why are most of the good tweaks paid? I just never saw a reason to dump money into something that in theory Apple could easily plug up and stop from being done.

This is what I am thinking as the android is more flexible unlike Apple forcing you to use your/their phone how they think you should use it. How about cross over apps I hear most have the same apps for both operating systems.

My experience with android phones, including the S6 is they run hot....noticeably so. Apple has a nice environment, because apple releases only a few products from each line (phone, laptop, desktop and music player) Updates can be released quickly, they are tailored to each device and  of course you get all the new apps first.

It ultimately comes down to reliability vs fun. Is interaction with your apps more important than interaction and customization of your home screen because you get folders and wallpapers but you get a whole lot more with android?
