In need a new GPU that will last the next few years. The only problem is that I have 200 USD to spend. I've looked into some cards that are right in that price range. I just wanted to make sure I was getting the right card for my needs. I will be playing new titles at 1240x1080 (maybe 1080p later down the road). As of now I was looking at the 660,650 ti boost,7850,7790. If you can find a cheaper card that's better please tell. If you have any other questions just ask and you shall receive. Have a good day/night, bye.

Some links to the cards

7850--http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127663

I couldn't find a 7870 for under 200 and that was a brand I know. Also I have a 600. Watt PSU with 36 amps on the 12v rail.

I mean 1240x1080 if that changes anything.

+1 on the 7850. With that cooler, you will be able to overclock this card in order to get more performance. :)

Nvidia drivers have been a bit buggy these days.

I'm currently facing this same problem myself going back up to a mATX Setup.

1x GTX 650ti 2gb Boost for me so far has been amazing, however coming from a GTX 580 it is pretty painful sometimes to see the higher end games i used to play (Witcher 2/Batman:Arkham City) chug down a few resolutions.

I'm torn between Sli-ing another 650 or going all in on a 760 now. It's pretty tough.

So you have a ratio of 32:27? I is confuse! If you play at 4:3 then set it to 1440x1080 so you don't get distortion :P

I would go a 660, nvidia cards have always felt smoother at similar frame rates ;)

7850 2gb prob ur best bet

I wouldn't pay anymore over the 1GB model for a 2GB 7850. Might as well get the 7870 at that point.

Just get the 1GB 7850 http://pcpartpicker.com/part/powercolor-video-card-ax78501gbd5dh

Much cheaper.

The 7850 is the best out of all of them with every card overclocked.

7850 :p if you get lucky you can end up with a beast of a card, a friend of mine has his running 1375mhz O_o and it performs at about 660TI levels.

It's a beast of a card and the price is delicious. It won't have trouble maxing out many games at a decent framerate.

You won't have to lower settings too much. It just won't max out all games at 60 fps.

1GB is worth it for the much lower price. It was like $180-200 when I bought the HIS model for my uncle >.>

It's a great overclocker though. I had the voltage and core clock meter maxed out on afterburner and the fan is off unless you're playing a heavy game. It only goes up to 30% even on furmark.

I want to upgrade my computer soon and I'm thinking about getting a AMD FX-8320. Are there any bottlenecks I should know about? If I can find a 7870 for around my price should I get it or stay with the 7850? Thanks for the help everyone  :) .

I would get a 7870: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127722

and overclock it to beat the performance of a 7950: http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/radeon_hd_7870_overclock_guide,1.html

The cpu that you chose would not bottleneck your gpu imo.
