So I have upgraded my hardware twice since building this entire PC, things I left were the case cause it's awesome and the PSU cause why would I buy a new one if it worked okay.
Recently I got interested in it for no particular reason cause it runs fine, cause I realized I bought it 7 years ago, and even back then it wasn't a particularly good PSU. (I didn't choose it at the time)

The PSU I'm talking about is a Chieftec CFT-600-14CS 600W PSU: http://www.chieftec.eu/en/support/archive/98-cft-600-14cs-600watt-kabelmanagement.html

It really worked fine with multiple changes in my hardware (different mobos, CPUs, GPUs) and I've had no issues with it whatsoever for these 7 years. But since I recently got a major hardware upgrade I do not want to experience a possible failure of my PSU and it damaging my other components, also Chieftec isn't a top PSU brand. Do you think guys it's safe to use it, if it still works properly?

PC specs:

Well, 600W and 650W is no different, only 50 watts. If 650W exploded during that test then likely 600W will do too.

Yes but "600W" and "650W" within one brand is very broad. That's like saying "Corsair CX750 and AX760 is no different, only 10 watts".

Chieftec never been great they are all bad, i bet you aren't even allowed to sell such bad grade psu anymore in the EU.

They have some pretty decent Sirtec-made units. As well as some by CWT which aren't amazing but aren't fire hazards either.

But i would ditch Chieftec and go with either Seasonic, Antec, EVGA, or SuperFlower because if you are building a PC, let said $700+ you don't want to risk your entire PC due to cheap power supply that cost less than your PC. Especially, i wouldn't at all cost.

Thanks guys, well I will change it then. I will change it for something min. 850W to support GTX970 SLI cause I will get one more in 2-3 years. Would this: Antec HCG-850M suffice? I've heard that since GTX970 is low on power demand, even a good 750W could be enough for SLI, so I assume that the 850 will be fine with my CPU which is power hungry?
