Netgear Nighthawk x6 r8000

asus rt-3200

Engenius epg5000 (Linus likes engenius I believe).

There's pretty much no difference exept 75 euros and that the first 2 are tri band. Is it worth it?

asus 3200 is an awesome router

might be a bit overkill tho for you

What's your biggest issue with wireless thus far? How big is your house? What are your walls made out of? How close are your neighbours? What do you typically do with your wireless devices? What kind of wireless devices do you have and what spec are they?

Because high end triple band routers might not give you better performance. They aren't magic, they're still a whole bunch of wireless gear in one location. If you're 10m and three brick walls away from your router? You'll still be 10m and three brick walls away from it. I personally would never bother getting one because for the price you can get quite a few cheaper access points. In Australia at least those AC3200 routers are three time the price of a single AC1200 access point. And the good thing about multiple access points is that you can spread them across your house and have it so that wherever you are you're fairly close to an access point. Which is especially important on the 5Ghz band.

I personally have 2x AC1200 access points. Checking as of this second I have six devices connected wirelessly. Two on the first AP's 5Ghz band, none on the second, one on the first access points 2.4Ghz band, three on the second. Traffic is split about 50:50 between the two APs. I don't have any black spots other than in the back shed, a shed which is metal and effectively a Faraday cage. It is the first and only setup in this house I have ever had that I am happy with. If you have a whole bunch of really high end wireless gear all in the basement? Then sure, a triple band router will probably be the best option. But most people's biggest issue with wireless is coverage not speed to multiple high end devices all at once.

Fools think they know everything, experts know they know nothing

Engenius has very good antennas but it is not good enough for mobile devices (Engenius will reach your mobile device on a long distance, but your mobile device won't be able to reach the Egenius).

Personally I would go for ASUS. In another topic I read that you were looking for a solution for your business. Maybe I can help you out with Cisco Meraki?
