I've been having some new problems where I'm running the game fine at 60 FPS or so then it just violently drops to 22 FPS and sits there for five or so seconds then goes back up, that's really the only problem I've been getting. Granted I don't play it a ton so I dunno there may be even more that I'm not seeing, have a friend who was getting the same thing, though with completely different and better PC specs.

I get the same crap and people say that the game has a good port... LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. They would be correct to say "better port" but no way in hell is anyone entitled to say "best port ever". Waste of 60$ in imo

I really only bought it for GTA Online with friends, still don't play it enough to warrant the purchase.

I have 150 hours of gameplay so far (probably wont get any more). When the game first came out I had almost no issues and the ones that I did find were manageable but as the patches rolled out things only got worse and then horrible.

Same, I've collected 109 hours since a week after it first came out when I got it, never really played the story since I played 11% of it on a pirated version and didn't feel like replaying that small bit.

Well I have beaten the game on my 360 a while back and I also managed to beat the game again however in the grand total I think I have like 70%. My online character is around level 50 and I want to play GTA online so badly because it is a great thing (excluding hackers, I just play in private games). Too bad the optimization is garbage.

Is it just me or does this game look, and run like ass nowadays for everyone else? I remember the game being beautiful and smooth but now it is a lag fest with tons of aliasing.

I am running a gtx970 and an i5

game runs great for me with nearly every setting on ultra at 1440p

I get tons of stuttering in GTA V to the point where I didn't bother to finish it. "Good port".

Run these as admin, they should fix the stuttering in any game, you need to make sure

High Precision Event Timer is disabled in bios too

Some info about it for you guys to read at your leisure

I get pretty solid performance now from my rig below in 1440p G-sync.

I used to get the stutters everyone speaks of. I'd be clipping along at 65-70fps and then get a violent dip down into the 20's. It would then climb jump right back to normal. Looking at the graphs in Afterburner I noticed my GPU usage tanked right at the dip.

I'd been running a 1444mz/7.52Ghz OC on my 980 and decided to run the card stock and test it out. Been playing for weeks now with no overclock and game doesn't stutter at all.

Maybe GTA V is sensitive to overclocking?
