Do you think the Xperia Z5 Compact will have a Snapdragon 820?

asim1999

I seriousy hope so, as it will most likely have a battery less than 3000mAh and the small body will overheat with an 810.

Since the chips have been with manufacturers for a couple of months, it could happen as the new Nexus 6 is rumoured to have the 820 and that launches round October, a month later than the Z5 Compact.

1+2 seems to have fixed the overheat issues on the 810 (i've read some french testing about it), not sure about it ?

Have no idea. Don't think so thought

Well i am just praying that it has a 820. custom quad core chips are the sweet spot for the mobile industry, dual cores are not enough (except for iPhone), and 8 cores are too much (never fully utilised and generate excess heat) , and they never perform as well as a good custom quad core

I have read some articles that the Z5C is going to have a Mediatek soc, but lets just wait for it.

It can even go to a SD808.

GPUs on the MediaTek chips suck tho

EDIT: There have been two leaks: a phone with a 1080p screen and Helio X10, and one with the 720p screen and 810.

I hope it has a 720p screen and 820 instead

I found this from a dutch site where they linked geekbench en GFXbench.

Soc could be a MediaTek MT6795.
