duno as my company will be one buying it I'm just looking for options I'm a novice aswell so I have very little knowlage my work has given me the opportunity to self teach myself at doing this so maybe a camera that isn't overly complicated maybe the ability to do 360 photos and ability to swap lenses

Pretty much any DSLR, but without a budget its hard to know what they want

Anything from a Cheap canon/Nikon DSLR for £400 up to £4000 pro level DSLR will do the job, it depends how much work are willing to spend on that specific thing

Something like a D3300 for £400 would be a place to start, but they might want something better

360 degree photos? nothing I know of does that as standard, its something you would have to composite manually

something like this - panroamic takes a 180 degree horizontal panorama for landscapes, not sure how that would help with a 360 degree product shot

I cannot answer your question, as I have no information to go on, for example for myself the lowest end camera I would buy next for myself costs about £3000, but thats because it suits my need and wants as a photographer

ANY camera can be used to take photos, if you are taking product photos its more important to get proper lighting set up, maybe a white backdrop, or a product stand and some softboxes

I don't know enough to really recommend anything solid

The D3300 that I linked its Nikons latest entry level cheapest DSLR I am not sure what else I can say?

Your work has made you responsible for taking photos, but you have now knowledge or experience, so .. its basically impossible for any serious recommendations,

SNIP

Then I see no issue with the D3300

Storage is dependant on your SD card, transfering, just whip out the SD card,  length of set up is entirely on your knowledge and skill, I would shove it into full manual, set the ISO, Shutter speed and aperture - takes a matter of seconds

image quality is very good, and video is in full HD -  camera quality depends 99% on the glass you put on the front of it, and that is also the most expensive part

A good tripod is a must, a fluid head like the manfrotto MVH500 is a must for video pans, a slider is useful for moving shots

what about bridge cameras for cheaper alternative what are they like for product images any good? and can they change lenses like this for example http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3571691.htm

Bridge cameras cannot change lenses, thats the entire point of them :) they also lack manual control (or are at least more fiddly)

You can get the older D3100/D3200 for <£300, but they are nowhere near as good for the money you spend, but still do stills and 1080p video

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nikon-Digital-Camera-18-55mm-14-2MP/dp/B00403MA4M/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1438943021&sr=8-1&keywords=nikon+d3100

I mean, its not your money, I imagine work can spend £400 on a camera if its important to their business, most people spend more than that on a camera and its just for their own personal useage

I mean lenses on their own can cost hundreds of pounds

"professional quality at budget end"

There are reasons why "professional" photographers buy Nikon D4's, D800's and Canon 1D's, 5D's, or even the higher end of the mid range line of cameras such as the D7x00's or 7D's.  Reasons that you will have a very hard time finding in budget cameras.

"I cannot answer your question, as I have no information to go on, for example for myself the lowest end camera I would buy next for myself costs about £3000, but thats because it suits my need and wants as a photographer"

Great point made here.

"I have backdrops in grey and white I have 6 lights all set up correctly"

I'm curious to know what sort of lighting gear you are using.

"I want a camera with good storage easy file transfer good quality pictures that don't take long to set up swappable lens if we ever need a different shot (don't mate if It comes with lences just want that ability to expand) erm cheap as possible as I don't want my work to shed loads out and I not be able to do it erm take product photos maybe quick videos or me panning around the product erm ye basic modes but professional quality at budget end"

I can imagine a long list of accessories your employers will have to be purchasing.  A long and expensive list even if I go bargain hunting on e-bay.

Here's a few examples:

  • Remote shutter release
  • USB cable or wireless dongle if you want to control the camera remotely from a computer and have the files transferred to the computer immediately
  • Tripod
  • Tripod head for photography
  • Fluid head for videos
  • Rail mounts for using your DSLR for videography
  • Perhaps a few different types of camera dollies to get smooth motion when making product videos that pan around the product
  • Radio triggers for off camera lights
  • Lenses (telephoto, wide aperture, macro, wide angle, etc.)

And the most expensive and time consuming of all: EXPERIENCE
