i have had an idea of using a pc fan to use as the fan in my room. I'm from Britain so it doesn't need to be air conditioning cold, I just want something that will give a nice breeze, but must be very quiet. I bought a fan on eBay which gives only a light breeze and is quite loud. I only sit within a metre from the fan and it would only need to be around the 120mm size. Would anyone have any suggestions of a potential fan I could use, that I could plug into my usb hub power sockets

I would use like 200mm fan, probably something from BitFenix.

You would barely be able to feel the wind from a 120mm fan from one meter away, unless it was cranked to near max speeds.

The fan I currently have is overall measured at 14.7cm x 9.63cm x 15cm but the fan inside looks to be between 90 and 100mm. The fan was also only around £3 so I didn't expect much from it, however I can feel the breeze on night times and partly in the day. Don't know if this helps at all but 200mm would be too big as I only want it on my bedside table which is quite full
