jasonpresto123

wanting to buy some stuff off amazon but while im in Australian are these prices in AUD or USD because when googled it links me to this site.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=200672250

Im having a hard time figuring out what this means does it mean when i get through all the checking out that itll give me the AUD price or is the display price in AUD because of my region.

You'll need to use the Australia site. http://www.amazon.com.au/

Even if you change the currency on the normal .com site, it will still be showing stock from the US store.

Australia does not have it's own store. Amazon.com.au is just ebooks and the like.

@jasonpresto123 The prices are in USD, you will be able to charge it in AUD at the checkout and won't be charged an exchange rate fee. Shipping adds up though, so it's almost always cheaper to buy locally, except for some specific things.

Ah, I didn't know that.

If that's the case, then it will cost a fair bit to ship from the US, once shipping and any tax has been added on.

Yep. No tax is needed here on orders less than $1000, and the price differential is sometimes enough to cover shipping. Sometimes it's so much cheaper in the US, even with shipping, that it's not funny.

And then again, some things simply aren't available here so you just have to eat the shipping cost.
