Just Cause 2 crashes on startup (W10)

So when trying to launch Just Cause 2 in Windows 10 it'll open the program window, stay completely white, and then crash. The dump files say "The thread tried to read or write to a virtual address which is does not have access to"

I had this issue. I then had windows crash and I had to go back to 7 and reinstall everything. Good luck? Maybe try to reinstall it?

Windows must have broken something. What I would do is uninstall it completely using a program that cleans left-over files (something like GeekUninstaller) and then clean registry errors (I use CCleaner for that), then try installing the game again.

 

P.S.: If you use GeekUninstaller before deleting the left-overs make sure you read what you're deleting. Once I was unninstalling an Adobe program and it decided to mark all other Adobe programs as leftover, which resulted in a lot of pain because I didn't check what I was deleting.
