I'm writing this on a iPad so I'm sorry for the format and any autocorrect

Problem: computer can't access internet not matter what you do be it cable or wifi

Reason: after an update from any windows to windows 10 the new operating system doesn't like the key registry for whatever vpn security you are using (usually your anti virus program)

Symptoms: you cannot connect to the Internet through you wifi card or you Ethernet cable because the card won't search for connections and the cable is refused.

Solution:

Step 1, turn of all of your defenders, example windows defender and firewall, then turn your anti virus off

Step 2, uninstall your anti virus making sure that you can reclaim or save your license

Step 3, restart your PC after the uninstall action has finished

Step 4, now you have restarted the PC you should be able connect to your broadband

Step 5, check at your antivirus website that the issue is resolved then reinstall the program

Other issues:

If you have been playing around with drivers in the past few days because that's all the info that was given then you may need to reinstall the drivers to ensure that you are using the correct one

Story: got windows 10, reinstalled driver using the disc that came with the adapter which has the latest version of the driver, device claims to be working properly under the device manager, but when I got to connect to my router their is no options to select and looking under the network map I can't see my adapter as an option, I've tried several times to reinstall the driver and clearing previous drivers installed but nothing seems to get my adapter to work, I have also replugged the adapter to the PCIe it was plugged into but it still doesn't work.

Device: Tp link wireless adapter TL-WN781ND

Driver version: 10.0.0.209

Update: the problem has something to do with windows 10, what the problem is I'm not too sure but a lot of people are having similar issues with Internet on windows 10, my issue is a bit stranger in that there is no way what so ever to connect to the Internet, I've tried reinstalling the wireless card, trying a different Ethernet wireless solution, bridging a connection from a laptop and directly connecting the computer to the router and all attempts failed with no changes, after trying to get in contact with Microsoft I gave up after waiting an hour on the online service and finding out that their is no room to schedule a call as it won't let you select a time in short their are a lot of issues with windows 10 and I got the cherry on top of issues with no fix and no support from Microsoft.

@Yakitawa, yes I just downloaded the latest from a laptop and moved it to the PC then reinstalled it but theirs no changes. Though like I said the disc came with the latest version as I had previously checked to see if it was up to date
