2x 550ti SLI vs 2x 660 SLI

Sn4tchBandicoot

So I have an option to nab up two 660's currently for basically free, was told they may have an issue, however I think it was either a bottleneck or a driver problem.

From what I can find online, the two 660's I have the option to get are only marginally better than my current 550 Ti's.

Anyone have any insight on to whether it's really worth it to put the time and effort into getting the cards and diagnosing them?

Basically means that there may be a problem with them that may require diagnosis and an RMA.

Go for it

But are they actually going to be better than my current 550 Ti's?

miles better bro, no competition, compare one 660 to a 550ti then work it out, if theyre free what does it matter?

ps i dont think you will be able to rma, them cards are old.

The 660 only came out 3 years ago, assuming that they are new, they are still under warranty, they only came out September 2012 ;)

Bigger number is always better

So by your logic, a 690 is worse than a 770?

The 660 will eat the 550 Ti for lunch and then proceed to shit on the other 550 Ti while the second 660 watches.

Ahh fair enough, since GTX 650 Ti and 750 Ti can't be SLI'ed I thought it was the same for that
