Update BIOS

Should you update your BIOS? What are the benefits of doing this? (not sure if this is posted in the correct sub-forum)

You should only do it if you actually have problems with the current version of your BIOS.

It won't increase the performance, but might add a few - mostly useless - features.

It could even make more problems than it fixes.

If you don't have any issues or don't want to aim for better overclocks, don't do it.

 

BIOS updates will fix bugs, improve compatibility and stability. But there's always slight risk that inexperienced updater (person) messes up something and you end up with dead mobo.
