My last dual-core PC could not play any game without freezing for a second and then dead x.x in CS:GO stutters and random freezes when shot at is not ok! D:<

Ah, that....old thing. I was talking about a Core 2 Duo E8500, and I was using an actual dGPU.

Still the dGPU did not struggle but the CPU did... :( (130M is made by Nvidia not Intel lol)

 

BTW why does my i7-4700HQ run CS:GO worse than my FX-8370?

It depends on your settings in CS:GO, and the 45nm Pentium range to be blunt, sucks.

True but all was on low on the Pentium same for i7-4700HQ but with FX I maxed ALL SETTINGS EVEN THE STUPID THINGS! :o

It is a laptop, and TBH, you can't compare laptops straight to desktops. You've only got an 840M in that laptop, and its not like it can be overclocked past 870M performance like an 860M. (I've seen far better laptops made by MSI).

It is a laptop, and TBH, you can't compare laptops straight to desktops. You've only got an 840M in that laptop, and its not like it can be overclocked past 870M performance like an 860M. (I've seen far better laptops made by MSI).

True but most benchmark pages says i7-4700HQ is BETTER which it does not seem to be for gaming lol...

Nothing, and you should see my point. You shouldn't' compare games across laptops and desktop s unless the GPU are of similar performance. I'll put it this way, the i7 in your laptop won't bottleneck a GTX 970, the FX 8370 does. And the 840M is far weaker than a GTX 970.

Which does kind of suck. Perhaps run Unigine Heaven on the presets while monitoring CPU and GPU load? Then benchmark the CPU with Cinebench (which compares the FX to the i7 with ideal circumstances for the 8370 and i7).

You should be able to, my friend with the MSI laptop runs his i7 (the same model as yours) at 3.6GHz and his 860m heavily overclocked with no problems (temps are sitting on the edge-but nothing has died yet).
