Intel i7-4771?

Just found this on tech power up and this made me think there's a i7-4771 I'm not sure that anyone's posted this up on here yet but here I'm wondering if this is legit but it would be awesome if it was, maybe it's a higher binned 4770?

That's a huge shame, because it'd have been nice to see something nicer.

It's just intel trying to have more skus so they can attract people saying this one performs better, but costs more even though it's a minor difference.

I'd have personally like to have seen the 4771 be something along the lines of a possible 5 core 10 threads i7!

kind of a waste of a sku in my opinion, personally im waiting for ivy bridge e.. 4930k on a new board and maybe add a ton more ram into my system while im at it cant wait

The lga 1150 cpus have a max of 4 cores and 8 threads. If they had a 5 core 10 thread cpu it would probably be a iffy lga 2011 chip.

You heard about when the IVY-E is meant to be coming about because this month I'm getting a 3930k so its interesting me with this platform.

from the leaked prices ive seen the price point on the 4930k is roughly $50 more then that of the 3930k, its only a month to wait atleast and its supposed to launch within a week of my birthday so im pretty excited for it

I'm on a £1500 budget so I shall just wait until everyones upgrading and pick up a 3930k.

intel doing a quick core clock jump boost cpu like they did on sandy the i7 2700K just before ivy was released honestly don't know why they bother although the 2700K was apparently a really good overclocker.

thats a good choice, im not on a budget anymore since my build is done its just at my birthday time that i have tons of people ready to give me cash, makes it easy to do an annual upgrade

I'm having to work for mine I'm also moving country in 1 month roughly maybe a little more so I'm on a tight budget.

fair enough, i worked for mine to start with and bought a new part here and there as i could till i got to where i am now.. although ive downgraded recently temporarely

Manufacturers need to make some large quad socket motherboards and Intel needs to unlock compatibility for multiple quad i7's . That would make me happy.

I had 16gb ram and a gtx 690 as well as a much higher end mobo this one sucks, current specs are in my signature

temporary lol, when I get the 4930k ill have a new mobo and a couple more ram kits to match and another lightning 770, it was planned, sold what I could and saved some of the cash, lost some ram because of bad sticks

I might get a GTX-780 because I'm going to be running a Game Capture HD, a Phoebus Solo and the graphics card also

not a bad plan personally I love the lightning 770 because I can overclock so much and once I get my watercooling stuff and new cpu/mobo it'll be a monster of a system, I already have my single 770 running at a pretty good oc on air so on water it'll be awesome
