New Build Help

Barms

Hello!

This is my first computer build, and I'm just finalizing the build of it. I'm looking for it to be the best computer I can build for preferably below $1100.

As for a benchmark, I want to run GTA V on high settings at 60FPS on 1080P.

The Build so far:

PCPartPicker part list

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($229.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: ASRock Z97 Anniversary ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($82.98 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($102.89 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 4GB WINDFORCE 3X Video Card  ($319.99 @ Amazon)
Case: Thermaltake Versa H34 ATX Mid Tower Case  ($59.99 @ Amazon)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 OEM (64-bit)  ($86.98 @ OutletPC)
Wireless Network Adapter: TP-Link TL-WDN4800 802.11a/b/g/n PCI-Express x1 Wi-Fi Adapter  ($37.24 @ Amazon)
Total: $1097.93

Nothing is for sure, and I'm open to all suggestions!

Thanks in advance!

Get Windows key from Reddit to save some money. You can go for a 390 for a bit more performance. Other than that, I wouldn't change anything really, very good choice on the PSU.

That's a great build but you will want a CM Hyper 212 EVO/ be quiet! Pure Rock if you'll be overclocking

If you want laptop equivalent wifi, go for the most expensive wifi adapter you can. I have a similar TP link model and I have trouble watching youtube, yet my laptop right next to it can watch HD movies without skipping.

For just 1080p that looks good. If you look to go to 1440p etc. later on go with 390.

Great and solid build, but a 390 would yield better performance, especially in higher res gaming, the os. You could buy windows 10 home so you dont need the hassle of downloading windows 10, and then waiting up to a month to get it. Also, you could buy license keys on ebay or reddit. Just cost saving measures there.

I thought I had some money... Oh wait... I spent it all ;(

I think this is a solid build. Although I recommend changing the motherboard. I don't really find Asrock to be a very good brand for motherboards. I know there's good MSI or Gigabyte motherboards in the 80-90 price range.

I have no idea what's wrong with your computer/internet then. I use that wifi adapter in all my builds, and my friends' build and it's worked perfectly for me.
