So i just recently setup my new build and i have fans running off a swifttech fan hub connected to my mobo but no matter how i setup speedfan it does not seem to adjust the fan speed of my fans.

in my old build i used a fan hub as well with speedfan and it worked so idk what is wrong with it did time,

Anyone got any suggestions that might help?

the only difference in the new build would be the mobo with was changed to a sabertooth board.

Either you're master race or you're not.

Are you connecting the fan hub to the cpu_fan header? Other headers might not be as reliable for pwm.

If you ever need help with a build, read the following before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/

I've never used a swiftech fan hub before but I may be able to help.  that is the pwm hub that is powered by the psu but received the pwm signal and controls multiple fans accordingly right?  have you gone to configure>advanced>chip>find mobo chipset and set pwm type to pwm and whichever fan header you have sending the signal should also be set to manual if you are using custom fan curves, or one of the auto setting if that is the route you are going

sabertooth should have pwm control for all headers I think.  my z97-a does in the bios (can switch between dc and pwm control in bios, under monitoring tab i believe) and that is a higher end mobo

It seems that Speedfan really need to be calibrated to modern mobos before use. This, sadly, isn't documented anywhere. You can check out my crude guide on how to do such setup here and the source which I used here. In short, you need to tell Speedfan which controller chip to use. And set Speedfan to force software control mode on that chip. This may have been automatic with older mobos.
