650-680$ gaming cpu

Hi guys,

maybe someone already knows me for being a little bit on the amd side...

but i am going to build a pc in this week or in the coming one. At first i thought

that going with a fx 6300 was a smart choice. Then a lot of people said that the i3 

is better than the fx 6300 then I showed them a comparison video and then they started 

to believe that the fx 6300 was really faster... But if overclocked it outputs a heck of a lot 

of heat. So I tried to get somehow a i5 4460 (because atm it's cheaper than the 4440)

in my 650$ budget. Finally I realized that having a locked i5 does give me the benefit of saving on

the cpu cooler. I still don't think that a b85 board is good but for sure it doesn't break the bank.

Go for the i5 4440/4460 trust me you don't want AMD at this point.

B85 board is fine.

I would really try to add an SSD, a budget 120gig, it will make everything so much faster man, night and day compared to a mechanical HDD

i could change the hdd with an sad and you my 7 year old 500gb hard drive but I don't know if that does make sense...

 

 

Used these drivers in multiple builds the past 2 years. Used 10 of them 3 of them already died.

If you already got a hard drive, get the SSD, reuse your HDD, and expand in the future if you need to, i build my new PC recently and i gotta say that the most noticeble difference was the SSD, everything is faster, idk how else to put it

Yes but only 5ish%! :D

 

Also the 380 uses less power causes less heat and easier to crossfire.

 

But if you want only 1 GPU then I would pick the 280X! :)
