Dry Ice Cooling?

What Dry Ice was used to cool your pc? it would go in a box with holes at the bottom and the cool fumes coming out of it will cool your pc? Yes?

I am a member of the PCMasterRace. I am terribly sad to announce that I own a PeasantStation 3 Super Slim. it's in a drawer away from my glorious PC.

No. You'd need a continuous supply of dry ice since it evaporates VERY quickly, which is unfeasible for obvious reasons (at that point you might as well go for phase change). The "fumes" (co2) themselves wouldn't even be that cold.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

dryice on any solid shows the leidenfrost effect, where the solid sublimes ( solid to gas) then the gas insulates the solid from the reliable hot surface aka your cpu. Would be better if you could transfer the heat to a liquid somehow... let alone the fact you would displace all the oxygen in the room killing yourself pretty fast.

*worst idea in the history of time.

 

Everyone has thought of things like this, it won't work. Otherwise I would have been rich with my patent pending design ages ago.
