I'm currently using a AMD Radeon HD 7790 and have been wondering when to upgrade my graphics card. My main concern is my current card only has 1GB VRAM.

I know Pascal is coming in 2016 but, is there any idea what quarter it's coming in? I'd like to save and buy a GTX 980 Ti, but then I know Pascal is so close and it might be a waste of money.

At the moment I can play GTA V with quite decent settings at 30fps..  But I am concerned that upcoming games won't be able to run. For example Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, lists my card as the minimum requirement, so surely it won't be long until it's obsolete.

Thoughts?

We know nothing about pascal or a release time at all therefore I would say get the 980ti how ever please don't get a 980ti for 1080p gaming
