Hi

I am currently in the process of finding parts to replace my 6 year old family computer with a budget of $500.  My plan is to take to older computer, and put in a wired networking nic and turn it into a pfsence box.  Do you think I might be able to clone to drive from the old computer (currently has windows 10 installed) and use that OS in the new computer and save $90?

So you keep the other computer running the same windows? Might get a problem with licenses at some point but idk. You can save a lot by buying the license from G2A or reddit though.

I think this can help

Use reflect cloner.

Thanks, but this only helps for cloning the drive, what I want to know is whether or not I can use the OS from the old computer on the new computer, since I won't be using widows on the old computer anymore.

Clone ur current drive with everything on to ur ssd or hdd then put it in the new pc

If its about ethics then just pirate a copy. U paid for it once and ur not using the old copy any more, to me theres nothing wrong with that ethically.
