CPU AIO suggestions?

Go to solution Solved by Mao_Zedong,

Phanteks PH will fit a 1150 socket, right?

Yes, any decent CPU cooler will. The only modern ones that don't are AMD's stock coolers.

I will be getting an AIR 240 case and I'm planning on getting a better CPU cooler than the stock one. (I5 4690k; socket 1150)

Any suggestions? Looking to keep it under $90.

GIGABYTE Z97MX-G516GB DDR3 | I5 4690k @ 4.4ghz | 1TB SSHD, 500GB HDD, 128GB SSD | GTX 1070 8GB | Corsair Graphite 230 | EVGA 650W | Hyper 212 EVO

Cinebench R15: 636(all cores), 127FPS

To be honest, I'd go with the Pure Rock from BeQuiet, many of my customers that I've fitted their computers with these AIO loops have had problems.

Sound engineer complained of pump noise, teenage gamer had a leak, one of my mates had a failed pump. I don't think much of them now.

Don't even install them if they request, just ask them to go somewhere else or advise them to get a tower cooler.

Personally I think it's really worth it to save up another $20 to get a cooler master nepton 240m. It is debatably the best AIO on the market, since it is extremely quiet due to its high quality pump and fans. It is also one of the best performing units available.

And this will fit in the Air 240?

The pure rock doesn't fit. The air 240 has around 120mm of space, but the pure rock is 155mm tall. The only be quiet cooler that works is the shadow rock LP. There is also the Phanteks PH-TC12LS which is very similar to the shadow rock lp in every way.

Its not terrible, but the be quiet shadow rock LP and Phanteks PH-TC12LS are better. I personally have an air 240 and my stock cooler is a bit loud, so I've been researching this a ton in the last few days.
