Im building a pc i got an extra psu 400w

my pc specs will be

CPU : Intel Pentium G2358

RAM: 4GB

Motherboard : Asrock H97 anniversary

HDD: 1TB caviar blue 

is 400w enough to power up the system? I'll probably get a gpu later Mayb a R7 260x or GTX 750ti

I'd say yes. But get a 80+Gold

400 is enough by like...a lot, my 4790k + 970 could probably survive on 400 Watts.

Even 300W would be overkill for this system.

You dont have to get 80+ Gold PSU as @Jerombolo said. It makes no sense really. Higher efficiency doesent mean the PSU is better.

 

It's way more than plenty with that configuration. It's not even going to draw 200W. And 80 Plus Bronze is good enough. Just make sure the power supply is decent quality.

Does it do good even with the GPU shown above?

What is that extra PSU? Chances are a 400W PSU is not likely to be the best quality but yes, it is more than enough wattage by a long shot to power it. Think around 100W under load.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
