Random system sound in Windows 10

nims0c

I'm running Windows 10 Home and I keep hearing some sort of system sound effect, but there's no accompanying notification or anything. Is anyone else experiencing this or have any insight into what's going on?

I've just been web browsing. I haven't been able to trigger the sound at will.

Where should I be checking other than the Action Center?

I don't have Skype installed.

Nothing in the notification panel.

I'm going to time the sounds. This might provide some insight.

@Arty @JustChilliing @Agazed @Aytex @VirtualR3ality

I've confirmed that it's playing every 10 minutes.  :huh:

do a clean boot maybe?

Today it's still playing every 10 minutes, but it's on the 3rd minute. So it doesn't look like a restart did anything.

I noticed the notification icon turns white when the sound is played, like there's a new notification or something, but no notifications are displayed.

I'm planning to do a clean install soon so I guess I'll hope for the best lol.
