Windows 10 license

Go to solution Solved by alexhelvetica,

One license is for ONE computer (NOT one computer at the time)

Think of it as only you can use your drivers license and when you die no one else can use it.

I'm still a bit murky on how W10 handles this (I saw a licence list on an account in a review at one point that you could manage) but AFAIK retail versions are one licence for one PC at a time (e.g. you can move it to another PC if you deactivate it on the last one) but OEM versions are just one licence for one PC, usually tied to the motherboard (e.g. if you replace the motherboard you need a new licence.

Previous versions could definitely be moved around different PCs as long as it was only activated on one at a time, I don't think that would have changed.
