windows insiders where lied to.

i was told as a windows insider my version of windows 10 would be activated with a pre-installed key, well it wasn't and anytime i ask how to activate it people just send me links to ways of activating with keys however Microsoft said that windows insiders will not have to activate with a key, then why am i unable to activate and not able to find a key?

When did they ever say that? As far as I know it has always been the case that Insiders didn't get a free copy of the live version, but could choose to continue to test the new releases before they went live.

From your source:

"On Monday, Aul clarified that Windows Insiders won't be getting Windows 10 for free, at least not exactly.

Though July 29 marks the release of the "final" version of Windows 10, Microsoft will continue to tweak and enhance the operating system beyond that date. The company will also continue to run the Windows Insider program, through which participants can download the latest preview builds to test Windows 10 as it continues to evolve and then offer Microsoft their feedback.

And it's those preview builds that Windows Insiders will freely receive on a regular basis. Each preview build expires at a certain point, but Microsoft promises that it will be replaced by the next build. So in essence, those who wish to remain in the Windows Insider Program can get Windows 10 for free, but the version you run will always be a prerelease build, in other words a non-activated beta product."

Insiders codes will last for 1 more month before they will not boot. About a month ago, they announced that NO ONE is getting a free copy. And the only way to upgrade is by going back to W7/8/8.1 and doing the upgrade from windows update.

This is not true, I did a clean install with an external installation media and it activated with my 8 Enterprise key just fine.
