"hackers' conference"

Lol

To be perfectly honest, even though this was published by AP, I don't find something like that credible. "If you don't like it, help build a better one." was probably paraphrased, further supported by the lack of quotations within the article.

"If you don't like it, help build a better one." is a completely moronic phrase. Calling the Black Hat conference a 'hackers' conference' is even more disheartening. Additionally Ken Ritter doesn't seem to specialize in anything technologically related.

I'm referring to part of the article's title. Dubbing it as hackers conference rather than using the ACTUAL NAME is nothing more than yellow embellishment, or possibly capitalistic esotericism in journalism. It's great at attracting people who are otherwise rather uninformed themselves; allowing the writer to feed the reader their own understanding instead of encouraging them to form their own opinion and idea -- but I suppose that's more of a problem with media as a whole than this article. My argument as a whole is a generalization and blankets media, which as of late has been letting me down increasingly so.  I didn't even bother reading, I googled the author, found that quote, and read the title.

I don't care much for the grammar of others over an internet forum. I may come off as edgy, but it makes me more sad than anything that things like this have to be curtailed for the stupid and otherwise uninterested.

Back to addressing the topic in OP, to me that comes off as saying "Hey, we know you don't like being spied on, so help us spy on people [by improving how we do as to be as non-invasive as possible] better." Teach us how to spy better to circumvent the entire reason that you don't agree with being spied on.

I'm confused for some reason. I think I have had a brain fart and can't process anything.
