WEll I've had windows 10 for about 2 weeks now. I have been messing around and testing it and just all around going very deep into it. I have noticed when playing any sort of game my frame rates are enormously higher then they were in windows 7 or 8 and the cpu usage has greatly decreed. So good Job Microsoft and keep up the good work. Now I know it varies from system to system based on your start up programs and whatever other trash you have on your computer, but honestly Microsoft has hit a home run with this one. So you PC Gamers on a budget. I'd recommend that you go ahead and get windows 10. Its a noticeable 20-40 frames difference. This is all based off my experience.

Thank you for reading! :D

What games? I've noticed games ran better on windows 10 but broke in full screen in build 10071.

Games such as Witcher 3, Dark souls II, LoL, Sniper Elite III, Batman ARkham Knight. Those are really the only games ive played on windows 10 so far.

Edit: HOnestly I play a lot of my games in full screen borderless

20-40 frames? I doubt it.

Judging by the specs on your profile, you must be running everything at low settings, since the HD 6870 is old AF and I highly doubt it can run Witcher 3 <_<

Also, Win 10 has been out for less than 24 hours. Gonna go ahead and assume you're using a preview and if you're not, I'm calling BS.

I highly doubt it, at the very least in a GPU bound scenario. Anecdotal evidence and "I've noticed X while playing" is quite frankly irrelevant, if it's not a standardized test or benchmark then it's usually a placebo effect or just wishful thinking.

I'll test this when I get windows 10 setup on my computer.

Imma go full on and reinstall watch_dogs, since I've benched my PC using that and I might be able to get a rough comparison on performance, although it would be slightly influenced by my CPU's OC and the fact that I have double the ram I had when I benched. Or I could just run Firestrike again <_<

Witcher 3 is running on medium-low, yes. But when I was playing on windows 7 on medium-low, i'd average around 30-45 fps. With windows 10, im up to 60-74 fps.

Edit: I had the version for developers

I have heard of some people saying the Arkham Knight problems being nearly nullified when playing on Windows 10.

If I had my 980 I would be able to prove to everyone because, no offence but, I am a more reliable source.
