Windows 10 is it stable?

Reported driver issues, lost product keys and other scary stuff..

How stable is it for you?

they wouldn't full release if it wasn't stable. wait..... vista....

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.

some people have issues with GTX 700 series cards not getting display on windows 10, SLI is broken STILL from tech previews.... And multi monitor issues are a thing where they either all get no display or signal, or sometimes have some monitors disconnect and reconnect via reboot.. I have had 2 of my 3 monitors disconnect like that once so far... :/

no.

i have found lots of bugs, most notably explorer which still crashes every time you click fucking anything, notification center doesn't open, sometimes the start menu doesnt open, taskbar hiding is buggy, both my laptops ati driver and my desktops nvidia driver are crashing constantly, my laptop requiring me to put it to sleep and wake it up again to get video.

 

i could go on. general rule of thumb is wait a few months before upgrading.

pc specs: 4 function calculator / 8 digit lcd display / colored numeric and function buttons

i had a solid freeze already that forced me to hold the power button to shut it off and restart. Other than that nothings really crashed.

I'm using 353.30 or whatever the latest driver is. No issues so far. The only thing i notice is that theres so flicking on Windows every now and again. That and Core Temp seems to crash my system. Other than that i have managed to fix all my previous problems i had with 7 (Which i now realise was probably an OS issue)

 

Still kinda pissed that im still getting my post error codes because i have no fucking clue what they are or how to fix them.

 

Anyhow. Windows 10. Works great. GG. 10/10 IGN.

Just google "reddit force win 10 upgrade" its a simple command promt you run as admin. i got win 10 4 hours early using it lmfao.

Thousands of people weren't using Windows Vista and reporting their experiences with it for a year before it's release. Slightly different situation here.
