A8-4500M ram upgrade

If I am reading this correctly, the best ram I can actually use is 1600MHz? I am running a single 4GB stick @ 1333MHz, which because it's single channel I lose HALF the bandwidth... Thinking about going 2x4GB DDR3 1600MHz.

Why don't you just OC your RAM to 1600, you probably won't need anything faster. Also, I'm not sure if the maximum speed is 1600 but I don't think it's that much of a big deal unless you run VM's or do a lot of rendering

Problem is, APU's run off of the memory and having a single chip means I lose almost HALF my video performance.

Well, you have the RAM and chip and everything now right? Why don't you try to OC the ram to something like 1800 and that will tell you yes or no as to whether or not it can run higher frequency RAM. I know there's a 15% increase in performance between 1333 and 1600 for that chip

Bios is very basic and won't allow ANY changes.  I tried updating the bios and it says not compatible.... no idea why, updated version.

Also, it looks like it supports 1866... At least on notebooks, it looks like you might have to look for a BIOS hack then? @PCBudgetSolutions

Then I don't understand why it won't let you Overclock... That's a damn weird error.... Try software overclocking like Overdrive and Memset and see if you still get an error

Thats the error for updating the bios.  The bios is VERY basic and wont let u change anything.  Problem is, I want DUAL channel as it will DOUBLE my video performance.
