No windows 10 upgrade available?

Recently I purchased windows 8.1 and I was looking to upgrade to windows 10 but the windows 10 free upgrade is still not showing up on my task bar, I don't know why but I am fully updated and still nothing. Please help!

Makes sure the OS is FULLY updated, as in, no more updates left to do. It should appear by itself after an hour or two. (it did for me after re-formatting)

Worst case, it will show up automatically after the 29th. Just because you don't see the icon right now, doesn't mean you won't ever see it.

I fresh installed Windows and got this. I reserved it on my old copy, which bugs me. I'm sure it'll appear soon enough. That CNET link is basically just a case of uninstalling and reinstalling the update, I hear.

Make sure every update is installed and you have rebooted. It can take a few hours, or up to two days for it to appear. For me it appears every day at 7pm EST but apparently it is not so for others.
