OBS vs Xsplit?

What does Xsplit do that OBS doesn't?

And what's the difference between Xsplit broadcaster and gamecaster?

xsplit is only really worth using if you have the premium thing imo and OBS is less demanding and easier to use.

I can only tell you about obs and xsplit since I have used them both

Obs is the open source software that streams and records, it has come a long way from what it first was and it can now do everything thing xsplit does but you have to wait a few months for updates

Xsplit is the paid software that can do the same, for xsplit u you have a software that gets constant updates but can be super buggy

I prefer obs but if you plan on recording good luck it gets tricky

Are you saying it's difficult to record with OBS or Xsplit?

Ever watch the WAN show?  If you have, you have seen the various difficulties they go through...they use X-split

This is why I prefer obs and hundreds of twitch streamers do also

Recording on obs can be tricky, I would make sure to download a plug-in for letting you know if you if you are recording

I've used both, OBS is awesome but I find it harder to place my sources as with Xplit it's easy to drag them where you want and size them as needed... 

Xplit is free and paid, I do recommend the paid version as you can add skype calls to it but I believe you can add skype calls with a plugin for OBS.
