I have 2 monitors, but i am unsure of what cables i need to make it an extended screen? can anyone help?

Any cables will work, it's all in OS settings.

What resolution/refresh rate monitors are they? (That is what determines what cables you should use)

Then after that if you're on windows 8+ then just swipe down from the top right, go to 'Devices' and pick extended. (If you're on 8.1 you may need to pick project first)

 

If you're on any other version of windows just do it through your display settings in the control panel
