Well.. its as it sounds.. I'm getting close to 80C at LOAD.. and I never hit that high.. I get 75 at mot.. ever... and now its like 78 with the hot summer.. and my cpu at 90% folding.. is this safe??  I'm concerned about it :/

80C at idle? Yeah, that's too high. Your CPU is at 90% utilization or 90C? Because I don't know why that applies with that in. What's your cooling set up and how long has it been since you put your cooler in last? You might want to reapply the thermal paste.

I didn't mean 80 at idle.. QQ I mean like when under load.. Its hot at summer.. and It is getting kinda scary :/ If I did say idle.. I'ma go fix it right now :/

Oh yeah.. not to mention to not worry about my GPU since I'm ok with running my fan at 85% :P So I'm getting like 60C at most at load right now on the GPU... but the CPU is still seeming kinda scary..

It's a bit high and if you're not comfortable with it then I would suggest getting a better cooler or just reapply thermal paste if you want to. You can also only run the GPU on folding so you don't always have your CPU running that hot all the time, and if you're adventurous then you can try undervolting your CPU but that's only if you're comfortable with it.

Are you folding on your stock heatsink? Because that'd explain it. Those are calculated for TDP at normal usage, they're not meant to be used for full time 90-100% load over extended periods.

Yup.. actually the heatsink .came with a Dell Inspiron 660s.. and held on with nuts that came with a Hyper T4 cooler(long story, basically it didn't fit, I had to break off myt cooler, and I had to steal that spare 660s cooler and pus down the screws and hold it to the board with nuts.. :/ Long for parentheses) but yeah.. Summer suks.. I remember back in the time a couple of months ago I can run my CPU at 100, which its now doing in folding.. and I would get 72c at most.. Stupid Summer :C I would've had a Hyper T4 if it actually fit like it advertized.. kept on slipping off. BOOH.

But the question is.. is the temperatures safe?

Good idea! I'm not kidding when for just fun I ran my CPU at 1.5GHZ.. but Idk anything about changing VOLTS.. xD But I can do that.. I'll probs clock down to a multiplier of 30 :P Thx.

Usually undervolting means that you change the voltage in small increments until the PC becomes unstable and then bringing it back up to the last point where it was stable. Basically the same way you overclock except backwards and only changing the voltage. This could lead to better temperatures. I've never tried going down that much with the CPU multipliers lol

Why not just fit the stock heatsink on there, from Intel. Or don't you have that?

Buy one used, loads of people have those lying around since they don't use them.

I swear.. the Inspiron 660S cooler works slightly better.. even tho it isn't even meant to fit.. but the thing is.. my stock cooler broke.. I had to break off the pins to install a HYPER T4 cooler.. which didn't fit.. blah blah blah.. long story.  So yeah :P

How do you know when the system becomes unstable? Also, does my motherboard: ASROCK FATAL1TY Z97 KILLER automatically tune the voltages to the clocks? Because I've never touched voltages before..
