So i have a cablemod 24 pin extension, I've checked like 5x and made sure each cable is plugged in correctly. However when I use it and turn off my pc it turns back on again. I've realised that there is no pin 20 on my power supply. So I'm guessing I just remove pin 20 from the extension? Can anyone tell me why this pin isn't used?

Use a multi-meter to probe and check to make sure all the pins are getting proper connection and voltages. The missing pin is the -5V pin that is not used anymore.

Every 24 pin connector actually has only 23 pins that are used but if the pin is present on the extension it would not cause the problem you are experiencing. This is most likely a settings issue either in the BIOS or Windows.

I've built 3 PC's, but none for myself... In fact, I'm using an iMac that my dad bought for me as my desktop. Awkward...

Please don't say "SSD drive." By doing so, you are literally saying "Solid State Drive Drive" and causing my brain cells to commit suicide. The same applies to HDD (Hard Disk Drive) and PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express).
